Default pulled off front sway bar and it rides better..?

i pulled my front sway bar last night because the link bushings were shot. but now i'm debating leaving it off cause it used to bounce side to side going over dips and whatnot but now it rides great with hardly any body roll. also my steering had a bunch of play which is now gone? any thoughts?

Put it back on with new bushings. I nearly flipped a car making a hard turn because the sway bar was removed.

After reading JCMS's post, I realized your talking about the factory stuff, so by all means reinstall it correctly!

but it rides better now? why would it be a smoother ride with it gone? and i dont think it will roll cause there is almost no body rolll compared to when i had it on. okay well of course it will roll but it seems less dangerous now.

If it seems less dangerous now, wait until you fix it right. Most likely the excess roll was because of the excess slack in the bushings bouncing the truck back and forth. Take away the slack with new bushings and the stabilizer can do its job right.

If Ford thought the truck was just fine without them, they would never have been there it the first place. They need to be there for when you will need them. You just haven't driven that squirrelly yet. But the day is still young! Bungee cord seat belts are really comfortable too!

I strongly recommend getting one and putting it back on. It's a safety item and you won't realize how important it is until it's too late. If someone slams into your truck or if you have to make an emergency hard turn it will help keep you from flipping over.
