Truck is running well. Unfortunately I had to drive 600 mi for a wedding this weekend so I wasn't able to get anything new done. However, I did manage to order up the right rear spring hanger, which arrived while I was gone. It was looking rusty and perforated when I was under there messing with the differential.

I have noticed a strange noise from the truck when the engine is running - sort of a medium-high hum like an electrical motor or something might make. It SEEMS to only occur at idle, but it's hard to hear through the other engine noise so it might continue at higher rpm also. Any thoughts?

I will try to upload a video or something if I can manage to get a decent recording

Got the throttle body and IAC cleaned today, and put on new gaskets.

These old ones are nice and moist, just how I like my gaskets

Got the spring hanger all done, I'm glad I decided to go ahead with it... it was in much worse shape than I had thought

You are 180 degrees out on that. Typically pressure is built up in the crank case, it is relieved by the Pcv ( positive crankcase ventilation) valve thereby releasing oil fumes into the intake, contributing to carbines up pistons and the motor pulling timing to reduce chance of detonation. A catch can is a very good investment. Check out billet specialties

Well, 400 miles one way is complete! Truck ran stronk the whole time, though in the last hour i did get a random CEL... still ran well and not leaking any fluids, so i assume its a pooched sensor, prob O2?

I will try to pull codes tomorrow, depending on how much i drink tonight
