Default --power steering pump--which to buy?

i need to replace my power steering pump and when i went to the napa sight, it has several different possible replacement parts. some are mnetric, some are standard. how will i know what i have? do i have to take it off first in order to know? will there be a part number i can read before i take it off in order to know? if so, can you tell me where it is located?

1993, f-150, 2 wheel drive, auto trans, 5.8Liter (i think, biggest that year)

Try Advance Auto site, they show two, 1 w\tank, 1 w\o tank, all the pumps are usually the same from late 70s to 90s, dont forget the pulley puller, new pumps dont usually come with them.

Default power steering pulley

thanks dirtcrew, thats the kind of help i need. does just a regular pulley puller work, or does it take a special tool to pull the one for the power steering?.........interesting that napa has both metric and standard thread choices....i guess that is why they call it napa crapa
