Default Stumbling-backfiring no codes

Hello
My first post, about my first F150. A 1995, 5.0, 2wd, auto, with 294,000.. The plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, and CTS have been replaced.. Have tested the TPS, AITS, EGR valve (haven't tested EVPS yet).. No codes but the 111 unless I unplug sensors.. The CEL come on and off when driving it seem to run better when you hot rod it.. Today I'm going to look for slop in timing chain, and try testing PCM.. Any Ideas anyone?? Thanks..

Verify your firing order. Ford switched them up at some point in the 90's but yours should be 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 at counterclockwise rotation on the cap.

Thanks, I didn't think about that .. it checks out and wires are routed correctly.. Didn't have any slop in the chain. Pulled the PCM and opened it up looks ok, clean, doesn't smell burnt.. EVP was a little out of range. Going to swap it tomorrow .. IDK??
