Different length fleetside shortbed boxes??

Default Different length fleetside shortbed boxes??

still having trouble loading pictures...but one shows on my profile homepage....here is the question.....does anyone know specific details on bed lengths on fleetside boxes??...my truck is a 96 regular cab shortbed XLT....i found a clean box with no rust, dents or dings...but not sure it's an exact fit...any info would be valuable ..thanks

There are two lengths, short (6 ft) and long (8 ft). If it is a short bed, it will fit. If it is a long bed, it will not fit.

Short beds are all the same length, 6.5 feet I believe. Long beds are all 8 foot

The beds on these trucks are 7 foot(short box) and 8 foot(long box). Short beds very in length from model to model (ford,dodge or chev) but long box trucks are usually always 8 foot.

Haha we're not helpin this guy at all. 3 replies, 3 different lengths.

Well then again, we can all agree the short bed is consitent

Regardless of actual length (those other two are over compensating) there is one length.
