I coated the frame on my Ranger with it, the stuff is legit for sure. Follow the prep instructions and nothing short of a chisel or snag grinder will get it off once it cures. I suggest a top coat if you want it to stay black because it does fade over time. Its awesome stuff though.

Can you just apply it over rust or does it have to be primed and everything first?

yea i did my f150 frame. spend your time prepping and cleaning, then spray on a top coat, and protect your arms and hands (it'll stain haha). Make sure you don't breath it, it'll turn your lungs to rocks (it works by binding free water molecules. lungs are water!)

but i love it

POR-15 is fantastic. I've used it several times on several rigs. Definitely prep, and be safe.

where can you buy it besides their website. what is it paint or i dont know much about it. so do i have to prep because i would be dreeding that or can i just spray over. it would be hard for my to clean my frame because my sandblaster doesnt work worth crap and i dont want to lay under it for a month with a drill and wire wheel. is it messy. does it get sprayed on by a spray gun for with paint brush.

the POR in POR-15 means "paint over rust"

When i did mine, i first sprayed the frame with a hose, then scrubbed greasy areas with a scrub brush and simple green. Let it dry, then I came back with a wire brush and knocked off any loose paint and roughed up rust. I re hit problem areas with break cleaner and some rags, then brushed on the POR 15. After the POR 15 dried, I sprayed the frame with black rustoleum as a top coat. I also did the under side of my cab and much of the underside of my bed, as well as suspension parts. It was an un pleasant job, but i'm glad i did it.
