Ow on earth do you change the PCV valve? Can barely see it

I'm assuming you have an I-6 cause its a pain to get to. i just let my engine cool down, wear some gritty clothes and lay flat on my stomach across the engine with a trouble light and was able to replace mine. Ain't fun but better than tearing everything apart to get to it the other way.

Well pretty much, I think those are on the back of RH valve cover behind the intake manifold. So if you were facing the front of the truck it would be on the back left

Correct. Backside, Top of the Passenger side Valve Cover. Took me forever to figure this out also.

Ok...mine was not like the diagram...it has a plastic piece that is in the valve cover with a 90deg piece on it. Then the PCV valve. Very good planning from some engineer. Took me 10 minutes to replace.

I have do do the same thing... well, I don't know that my valve is bad, but the upper elbow is cracked and leaking. I wish they would have put it futher forward... but everything can't be out in the open.

also, and sorry to hijack the thread... but how tight was that piece that attaches to the valve cover? mine just slips in and out... I am wondering if the grommet is missing or worn.

Sound's like the grommet is pooched. Should be snug. Couple buck's at the parts store.
