Default 94 F150 with 5.0 want upgrades

Hi, New to this forum. I have a 94 with a 5.0 that is bone stock. I searched around a little and didn't have any luck locating the info I was after.
I am wondering if there are any little tricks to get free power and also what the general concensus is on headers, exhaust,etc...

If there are old threads covering this you can send me there too...

Thanks

That means it's MAP, so you're more limited. Exhaust and headers are good though.

Sean... what brand headers do you recommend? Oh and with a standard transmission you're limited to only a few brands and I think only Shorties.

I don't have a preference.

I assume by upgrades you mean performance upgrades. Exhaust is always a good place to start. Even if it only yields a few hp your truck will sound better and be more responsive. Drop in a performance filter too, a K&N drop in made mine a world of good.
What gears are in the rear end? Lower gears always pack a good punch.

Did shorties improve performance? My truck has dual tanks and it's gonna be hard to use long tube headers with dual exhaust, plus the O2 sensor issue.

a friend has some shorty headers that came off a 5.0 mustang. They have Ford stamped on them. His car was a 92 I believe, think these would fit and be a good mod? I could get them cheap...

Thanks

What about intakes?
