Aslo is it a pretty easy job? Do you need any special tools and do you think a noob like myself could do it?

I looked in my book but for some reason there is no instructions on how to replace it.

Its a 1994 f150 4.9L 4x4

Thanks so mUch!@
Easiest way for me to fix that is to take the brake pedal assembly off of the sidewall (easily done by removing three nuts on the housing). Thread the new cable through the assembly and lock it in place (cylinder on the end of the cable fits into a hole on one side of the pedal assembly and a groove on the other). Then stick the cable through the hole in the floor, and bolt your pedal back onto the sidewall.

To hook the cables up underneath the truck, I first unhooked the intermediate cable from the bracket near the back that hooks it to the two cables going to your rear tires. Then hook your new front cable to the intermediate cable via that little connector that should still be on your intermediate cable. Now take that bracket and hook the other end of the intermediate cable to it, then pull towards the back of the truck like an SOB on that bracket until you have enough slack to hook up your two rear brake lines. As you're pulling, you'll hear a ratcheting sound coming from up in the pedal assembly -- that's normal. Keep that tension on the cable as you slip the two rear cables into the bracket. Done and done.
