Oil Pressure Sending Unit ?

I found this out about the oil switch also after some homework , the warning light on my dash which is controlled by the gauge , and the cluster gauge pressure change , does not show up until about 2 PSI oil pressure , this is with a new sending unit , what a pitiful piece of safety equipment , I will be leaving my manual gauge in the truck permanently .
