Default oil pan bolts

So my 89 xlt 4X4 5.0 has a massive oil leak, a steady drip drip drip. Looking underneath it appears to be the oil pan. The whole drivers side bottom of the motor, the tranny, and everything in-between is covered in oil. Above the filter is not. My buddy who previously owned the pos (no offense to the truck) had replaced all the gaskets. So I'm hoping tightening the pan will fix it... fingers crossed. What do I torque it to, and what pattern should I tighten them in? Should I loosen them first? Will loosening them drain all my oil on the ground?

is it possible to use engine de-greaser on the bottom of the truck, around the oil pan, tranny pan, axles, gas tank(s), chassis, etc... i had a major oil leak and the bottom of the truck is COVERED in oil. i think the PO had the oil leak for a long time.

1990BlackF150 i use a degraser call SUPER CLEAN . it works really good for me . i use it to clean grease and oil on my engine, hoses, clean my tires etc. I think its way cheaper than engine degreaser.

Rusty - I am losing about a 1/4 quart everyday because of my rear main seal

i was told it is a common thing in our trucks after the hit about 80,xxx miles. im not for sure, all i know is having to put oil in all the time is depressing.

I'm not sure, all I know is, its loosing more than 1/4 quart a day.
The whole left side (drivers side) is covered in oil, the whole right side is dry. From the exhaust manifold up it's dry, from behind the exhaust manifold its wet all the way from front to back. The oil is dripping off every oil pan bolt on the left side. The front left half (driver side) of the motor is dry until you get down to where the distributor bolts to the block. It doesn't appear to be from the flywheel. It doesn't appear to be the oil pan, its not coming from the oil filter. Any ideas?
