Post O-ring on Pitman Arm Shaft

Can anybody tell me the size of the o-ring on a 1988 F-150 pitman arm shaft? I would like to go the cheaper route and just get a regular o-ring- I'm on a tight budget at the moment. Getting tired of putting transmission oil in it every morning before I go to work. I'm putting in around $8-$10 of oil a week! I would reaaly appreciate it if someone could tell me the size of the o-ring. Thanks!

You're probably going to have to take it apart and bring the old one to the parts store. I would check into the seal kit, it shouldn't be more expensive than what you're spending in oil and has all the seals included.

Default Need Help please

O.K. I checked on the seal kits for the pitman shaft on RockAuto.com but there is 2 listed-
1. Steering Gear Complete Pitman Shaft Seal Kit
2. Steering Gear Complete Pitman Shaft Seal Kit (Lower)
What is the difference between the regular one and the one that says lower? Which one do I need ? I have no idea. The one that says lower is higher priced then the other one but they both say they are the complete pitman shaft seal kit. Anyone have any ideas?

That sounds odd. I was talking about the whole steering box seal kit, it has every seal for the whole box and can be bought at your local parts store.
