Default the Np205??

what year did they stop putting the Np205 in the f series?

im looking to swap the borg warner out of my truck for an Np205, and not sure what all i have to do. would i need another compatible tranny, or would a 205 fit onto my aod??

It slould bolt on, and you might have to grind the tailshaft housing of the tranny for shift rod clearance.

not totally sure what you mean by doubler, not even exactly sure what the guy did with his case. i tried opening that link he posted wouldnt come up

The basic idea of a doubler, is you take enough of a transfer case to make a high and low range gear box, then you mount that in front of your transfer case, and you have DOUBLE low range, Its easy with the bw cases, you saw off the side of the housing with the front drive output, plate it over, and make up a tail shaft housing to mate it to the other transfer case.

thats actually a pretty cool idea. however for now i would just want to bolt up a 205 to my aod tranny, by the looks of that picture the end looks fairly the same.

If you're married you don't have time or money to work on the truck, divorced and you don't have a truck



A divorced transfer case is separated from the transmission by a short driveshaft.
A married case bolts directly to the transmission.

i just picked up two bw1356 transfer to make a doubler system!!!

now i just habe to figure out a way to cut about 14 inches off the fuel tank.....

The shortbox tank is, shorter, by enough, i think.

I measured under my extended cab, and I have enought room.
