Question No spark or fuel

I need help. I have had 2 mechanics come and look at my 91 f150, 300 6 with no real help. It has no spark or fuel pressure. I have done all I really know how to. The distributor is all new, on distributor ignition, and the coil has been replaced. The coil has power, but doesn't get a flashing signal from the ignition module. Everything seems to be grounded and have power. I don't really know what else to look at. Is there anything else that can shut the system down?

Code reader wouldn't read the truck. I think the port end is bad, I had to push one wire back up in place that was hanging lose. I am going to get a new conector from ford and try again.

This is a TFI-IV system with a distributor mounted control. The distributor was rebuilt with new internal control.

Also both relays, that are next to the check port under the hood are new and getting power.

The EEC relay has to be powered up to put power to the fuel pump relay. I do not know the location of these relays for your truck. Hopefully someone with a truck close to your year will respond.

The EEC was replaced, that was my trouble a year ago when the truck would die going over bumps, bad conector. Could be a bad part though. Not sure how to rule this out, if it was just a fuel issue I would think that I would still have a spark. Could a bad eec shut down both? Also I have a code reader on loan, but after working on the wires can't get anything from the truck.

Do you have an opportunity to check your ECU (may be on another truck) ?

Yes,the EEC relay turns on first and distributes power to other relays including the fuel pump relay. That the place to start looking.

You don't need a code reader to check your truck. Look in the maintenance section under "diagnose trouble codes" to see how. Does your check engine light come on and then turn off when you turn on the key? If you can't get codes from the computer, if it fails to go into diagnostic mode, the computer is bad or has no power. The EEC can cut out all engine controls including gas and spark if it is bad. Or it may not be getting power even if the relay is working. The red wire from the EEC relay is the one that supplies power to the EEC, make sure it has power with the key on.
