tires
I have a set of 30x9.5-15 on my 2 wd 89 f150 that are due to be retired. I found a set of 30x11.50-15 on rims for 300 bucks. The tread looks decent but how will they fair in the snow? They are swamp/sand tires so I figure they will push the snow instead of cut through it. I get stuck on a snow flake now even with 300 lbs. of sand over the axle so do I get these tires or go with a 235x75-15 or similar? I like the big tire look, but seriously, with 2wd it is just for looks.

You're right. 30's are a bit pricey. that's why I was going down to a 235 or so. I will lose about an inch overall on diameter but it shouldn't be noticeable. The ones I was looking at are tsl 30x11.50-15 on black steel rims with a 5 bolt pattern. I don't even know if they would match my lug pattern, but my wife has a jeep cherokee that would look pretty sweet with some big meats on it.
