Default No longbed flareside/stepside???!!!

Is it true that Ford did not manufacture longbed flareside/stepsides from '80 thru '96?!

If so, this is a major disappointment as I have been looking for a stepside bed for my 1995 F-150 XL (long wheelbase, dual tank). Can someone confirm or refute this?

its not police interceptor motor, its "Performance Improved" the internal Ford name for all 4.6L engines with the deep runer manifold and cardioid intake runner heads. Used on all 2V stangs from 99-04, 01-06 crown vics, and 02-05 explorers. On that note, there is absolutely NO difference between the police package cars, designated P71 (not PI) and regular 4.6L engines.

Welcome to the board!

I don't think anybody made a longbed flareside.
The only flaresides I have ever seen were the 6' shortbed size.

it has the potential to tag mid 13s with a higher stall convertor and a true performance tune. the current one has the car shifting at 5600 and tweaked for the larger injectors and 80mm Lightning MAF. but otherwise its an economy type tune for 87 octane with the EGR function pumped up and minimal fuel trim changes, the car get 19mpg in town.

A coworker of mine had an early 70's F-100 longbed stepside. It was almost the ugliest thing I have ever seen.
