Buying this 92 f150 5spd 4x4 with a 302v8 tomorrow.. Rust free just needs some love. Guy said it ran great until he had a timing issue its been sitting for a year said it ran around the block but it was running rough no motor knocks he's pretty confident in it being a timing issue. I'm paying 600$ for it as is and I'm gonna fix it but any wild guesses or ideas or similar problems you guys have had? I know it's not much info to work with but any wild guesses are great.

Pull the codes first thing as soon as you get it home. Compression check, fuel pressure test, vacuum test.
Then you'll have a much better idea of what you're looking at and where to start.
