what motor/trans do you have, and with 33s 4.10s should be good but plan on spending some money because its not very cheap lol but its definitely worth it and im sure you know this but you have it flipped on the lift its 6in in the front and 4 in the rear haha

I have the 302, not sure what trans is in it. The drivetrain was "supposedly" replaced...anywho the lift was not done right. The guy has two blocks stacked on top one another in the rear, which makes it 2 inches taller than the front. Instead of removing the stock blocks and replacing them with the 4 inch block I think he just stacked them? The rear sits higher than the front

what I was told is on some lifts they expect you to stack the rear blocks, with that said I wouldn't do it just sounds like a bad idea to me lol but you definitely have a great starting point and is the truck automatic?

I paid next to nothing for it, so I expect a lot of work. Yes it is automatic...Also I went to replace the thermostat and I could not get the housing to seal up and not leak. Suggestions? I'm going to grab a wire wheel and clean the mating surfaces better but I'm wondering if I should use a sometime of liquid gasket (RTV or Permatex) in conjunction with the paper (Felpro) gasket? I ripped it apart and put it back together 3 times today and had to walk away frustrated....

I had a problem with the thermostat slipping down in between the housing and intake. I coated the housing mating surface with permatex and stuck the gasket on over the thermostat. This held it in place and kept it from slipping and no leaks. I also coated the intake mating surface with permatex as well

If you've got the cast aluminum thermostat housing, check it for cracks. The first time that I replaced my T-Stat, I broke an ear off of it with barely any pressure. The replacement that I purchased was cast iron and much heavier. I won't do a t-stat again unless I've got a spare housing sitting at the ready. Like tanman90 said, the permatex will definitely help.

Alright thanks guys. I purchased a new thermo housing today, its lightweight so I assume it is lightweight. Tomorrow I will grab some permatex and give it a whirl, hopefully it works out. Thanks again
