Default New to 9 GENS . Any advice? 5.8l

I have a 97 right now but want somethin a little meaner. I'm looking at a 96, 5.8l with 76k miles, she's a beaut but also comes with p0171 engine code. Now I don't know much about 5.8l or what kind of problems they have, what to expect. Or what this problem can be . What do you think? Good or bad deal? I just don't want a money pit. I put the link to the ad, let me know what ya think. Thanks

the 351w is a good motor. not sure what that code stands for, but someone else will chime in with that. the truck looks clean, and should last many more miles with routine maintenance

prices seems a little high for the condition of the truck, maybe 4500 or so but thats just me.

FYI, that truck has the most up to date e4od transmission, it's the best e4od. My truck is a 96 5.8 ext cab 4x4 with 160,000 miles now, and I've had minimal problems out of it.

Agreed on the dents. The tailgate, at least 1 bedside if not both, the drivers side of the cab, front fender you can see the bumper was pushed up and crushed it somewhat. I would try to get it for less because of the body damage. Run a carfax on it and see if it has any reported accidents.
