Default Need new tires and size

I have seen a lot of threads about rims and tires put the tires seem mostly for off road use. I have a stock '96 that only sees off road when I pull on a home site. I am averaging near 1000 miles a week lately and my tires are near the end. They're Firestone Destination 235/70/15 if I remember correctly. I like the stock look so I want to keep the rims but I would like to have a taller tire to fit the hole. Also the Destinations were smooth maybe the first 10-15 thousand miles but after that, well you probably know how they get. Any recommendations?

31/10.50 is about as big as you want to go if you want to keep it looking fairly stock. The taller tire will help with highway fuel mileage, but knocks it back a bit for city/ stop and go driving.

This. That's what mine (4x4) came stock with. Well actually they're 265/75r15 but dimensionally they're the same. Also the 265/75 is usually cheaper than a 31x10.5 and t also has a higher load rating than them.

I put a set of goodyear adventure 31/10.50s on my 95, seem pretty good all around, they are the same size as stock for me

I am running 31x10.50x15 Yokohama Geolandar HT/S tires currently. They are great highway tires and should do fine with a little off road here and there. They have gotten me thru a couple of hunting seasons, so far. You can also go for the Yokohama Geolandar AT/S for a little more bite.
