Default need help putting a flat bed on my 93

I was talking to a guy about buying a flat bed from him and he told me I need to put steel going from the bed hanger to the back of the frame. And i was wondering if anybody could tell me were the bed hanger is located and what it is.

Thanks,
Brandon

Either way, it's not much of a flat bed if you have to build a flat bed for it to sit on.

I Think what he was trying to say was put steel on the frame from the back of the cab to the back of the frame, so it gives it a few more inches of clearance same as rails under truck beds.

Plus the steel a square tube of steel across the frame will make a level surface to build or install the flatbed. We just repaired one like that on a truck in welding last week.
