Disconnect the fuse for the abs and see if it fixes your problem.

OK so I lifted the back end and rechecked the drums and ran a dial indicator on the axle and just what I didn't want to see. My axles are bent which was causing my drums to constantly rub and get hot. We turned the truck on and ran the truck on the jack stands and you could see the axles spinning out of round... So I will be replacing axles this weekend... LUCKY ME!!!

im sure if you keep driving it around itll burn off what it don't need, you don't need brakes , brakes are for sissy's. lol. sounds like a mal adjusted adjuster or your e brake cables are a dangling adding tension that way but chances are since it didn't do that before you did the brake job I would go back to zero and start again . could be a froze caliper too

My brother lost control of my truck with a trailer attached to it and jacked knifed it on the highway about 2 months ago and I had noticed something funny since then but I really didn't think it was actually that. I will try to post a link to the video I took of it yesterday... LOL well glad to find the problem cause I got tired of chasing my tail...

Wow good sleuthing! Would love to see pics of the axle and pre/post pics. Thinking of axle swap next year cause thinking of a 4" lift and 32" tires. Will need lower gearing...
