Default Need Help Battery Loosing Charge

Just rebuilt 302 in 89 Ford F150 Something drawing battery down after couple hours. have tried two batterires. Alternater was replaced when rebuilt. Had alternater checked and was fine. We cannot seem to find the problem. Need Help

You'll need some "heavy duty" ampermeter, with up to 50 amperes measuring capacity (with fuse protection). Recharge the battery, and have ampermeter connected between (+) battery terminal and (+) wire. remove fuses one by one until current will drop to approx. 0.1 amp (normal "ignition off" draining current). It if will not happen, disconnect fusible links. if it will not help also, disconnect the alternator.

Good luck on finding the fault..follow the advice above & you will most likely be successfull...if you have no ammeter just pull all the fusible links & fuses and put them back in one at a time. The one that results in a dead battery is your problem..

I can't stop myself sorry...it is losing not loosing! Everyone does that nowdays! Thank you Internet...
