well i bought an f350 a while ago for the axles, so i could start my own 1 tonne/straight axle swap on my 95 f150. i paid 500 bucks for it, pulled the axles out, and sold the rest of the truck for 800 bucks lol.

Both axles are non limited slip and 3.54 gear ratio. on the plus side they are both 35 spline axles. im gonna buy a spool for both front and rear, not sure how im gonna like that, but they are fairly cheap so i can always take them out if i dont like them. im also going to be running 4.56 gearing.

for the back im just going to take off all my leaf springs and brackets, and replace it with the f350 brackets and suspension, and leave it stock until i see what the front is going to look like. up front im ditching the leaf springs and going to put in 6" lift deaver superflex lift coils, which i ordered from bronco graveyard. to get them on i ordered coil spring brackets from ballistic fabrication.





not sure how its going to sit, but if the front sits higher then the rear im just going to add a block. going to make my own radius arms with stuff from ballistic fab. they have 2" aluminum steering links with the 3" rod ends i need so it should be pretty strong and light weight.

thats about all i have planned out now. i dont want to get to carried away with ideas yet until i start getting it put together lol.

yep this is going to be a cool thread! do you plan to beef up the rear springs as well? or just keep the stock suspension? thats going to be kick *** haha

looks like your headed in the right direction with everything except the spools, spools are made for mud trucks and drag cars, trail rigs dont even use them, .your going to hate driving on the snow and ice with them too, its hard enough to drive on it with a locker,

and dont forget you have to upgrade your brake booster too, the half ton wont handle the new axles.

and you might have to modify those front coil brackets a bit to fit on the drivers side of the axle housing.

The f350 springs are already beefy as hell, so i might take them out. one day i want to get the deaver 6" lift springs but they are gonna be a bit pricey. and it is going to be more of a mud truck then anything that's why I want to get those spools in there. I defiantly won't be winter driving it though. I see how the rings act on dry pavement I'm going to have to be cautious on a rainy day.

A buddy of mine used the same brackets and had to take a bit out and modify them a bit. He did use the stock break booster though and never complained about it but I was looking into it and alot of guys just use the f350 booster. We will see how she goes though.

With a spool in the front you will have to drive it with one hub unlocked so the thing will turn.

i had the f150 booster on mine for about a week, driving back and forth to work on curvy roads with 35x14.50's the brake pressure was bad, swapped in the booster for an f350 and they worked like a dream, if i ever get another f150 its getting an f350 booster even if i dont do an axle swap.
you might also want to remove the ABS module from under the cab, i'm not sure how its going to act with a spool in the rear.

ABS never worked anyways lmao, But i was looking to get rid of it.
