I have just noticed that my passenger side motor mount is cracked. is this something to worry about?

can it be changed easily?...i mean can I do it or does it need to have the engine lifted up/out?

You're going to want to have that fixed soon, as it will start to cause allot of vibration and put stress on the other mounts. Lifting the engine is by far the easiest way to fix it depending on the damage because there is not a whole lot of room to work with, if possible you could weld it if its only cracked on one side but replacing it is safer. Not always easy to get out, if heavily rusted id try to use a torch to save yourself the headache.

It can be done with a good jack, but an engine hoist isn't very expensive and can be rented from heavy equipment shops.

I was looking in my LMC catalog for mounys...are there a total of 4? 2 are 15 bucks each and 2 are 100 bucks each...jeeezz!

Your probably looking at the mount for 15-20$ and the bracket is 100$ Is it your mount ( insulator)or bracket thats broken?

Correct me if im wrong...the mount bolts to the engine and has a rubber piece on it. The bracket is bolted to the frame. The mount just sits on the bracket?

Well it doesn't sit on the bracket But yes the brackets are bolted to the frame, the mounts bolt to the bracket and the engine. Find a 20$ mount, unbolt the engine mounts on both sides to get better clearance when lifting it and then replace the broken mount.
