Are the motor mounts from a 4.9 the same as the 5.8?... if not can I just switch them around

Is there anyway to beef up the mounts or something cause theres a lot of engine movement while accelerating

I used FoMoCo mounts on my 90 4.9 and it was a world of difference...have to look at the tack to tell it's actually running now..hehe

Me too. You might want to look into polyurethane mounts. I just got new rubber ones but if they break again that's what I'm going to do.
