More lift and 37's, should i have my rear end re-geared if i have 3.31 gears now???
I have a 1995 F150 crewcab, it has 31x12,50 R15 on it stock.
i have 3.31 gears in the back, i tend on puttin 35x12,50 on it for now untill i can put 37's, with a 3'' body lift and 6'' in the front and 4'' in the back
but right now my rear end is shot, so i was thinkin is it worth buying the same rear end with 3.31 gears or get mine re-geared so it could push the lift and 37's...?

If you're planning for the 37s and getting a new rear end anyway, you should get something beefy like a dana 60 with 4.56 or larger gears. Might be a little high revving with the 35s, but you're planning for later and redoing a rear end isn't fun. My opinion.

Ditto. Definitely go with lower gears. My truck has 4.10's but I seriously wish the previous owner had went with 4.56's. Especially if I step up to 37s.

Probably true abt. the 4.56 not fitting in the older carrier. I'm not sure what the max size for specific carriers is. I was throwing the dana 60 out b/c of how beefy its axles are, which is worth considering with 37s.

After a 4:10, you need to change the carrier. I had to change mine when I went with 4:88's...

This will not be a problem for the rear if you are switching to a locker type carrier as you can specify the gear range when ordering, the front is the same way if you switch carriers. The extra cost of a Detroit locker or similar limited slips are not much more than open carriers for the shorter legs.
