I have a 91 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 300 Strt. 6 and I get 15.25 mpg, 17 gallon tank and 260 miles per tank. The front tank is 17 gallons, and the back is 16.

I'm estimating about 15, but I won't be able to tell for sure until next fill up... 302, leveled, lifted 2, 31's. I feel like 15 is damn good for that. Haha

Can't wait to see what mine is now that both tanks will be working and neither has a HOLE in it and my thermostar will be lowered (eastern programmed ECU)

Default 15.24mpg

Last tank was 18.2MPG

I have a 1995 5.8L 4x4 auto. It has 31" tires, that I overinflated to 42PSI front and 48PSI back. (I ran out of quarter$) Other then that no other mods or stuff in the bed but a liner. I am getting 15.24MPG. That was mostly highway with some stoplights, going max 65MPH.

The speedo bounces all over the place so I do not know if it is accurate. It sounds like you have tried a lot to get your MPG up, perhaps you should remove you camper shell. If only temporarly. Studies have shown open beds to be the most fuel efficient. Except for this: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...d-cap-583.html Sadly this is not yet for sale.

I would also recommend using a GPS to determine seed and distance since your speedo is not accurate. If that is not an option, use http://maps.google.com to plot your route and see just how many miles it is.

Have you checked your cats? They are clogged up, then they could be hindering your motor's breathing.

The before mentioned ecomodder website has a plethera of knowledge to get better gas mileage. The thing that most helped me was "Adjusting the nut behind the wheel" I don't do fast starts, I keep it below 70mph, and I sometimes shut off the motor at long red lights.

The best tool they have is the fuel log in the garage. Here you can input your mileage and gas prices and see all sorts of data and graphs. I would like to see this fuel log implemented on this site. (hint hint)

I am not affiliated with ecomodder.com, I just am interested in saving gas for everyone.

Here is a link to my truck's fuel log:

easy...your pump is weak...when it wont hold pressure you are in the peddle more...that causes more injector cycles and even though you make less power you do it with more cycles...more cycles and deeper peddle means more gas consumed.

300-6 with little mods, stock tires and 3.08 gears 5-speed M5OD 160deg t-stat

20mpg city

24mpg highway
