MnF150

I have a 95 F150, 300 with 5 speed stick. The owner's manual calls for Mercon transmission fluid. I don't recall, id mercon the same as the old Dexron II fluid? Does anyone have any other up to date info on fluids or additives that work well with this transmission?

Yes, same fluid, dextron is just the gm name, no additives needed, mercon works just fine.
