Im putting a Borg and Warner t18 which came stock in lik 65-73 ford pickups, im unsure about what clutch set and flywheel to get. should i get a flywheel for my truck with the 5.0 since i know that will fit and should i get a clutch set for a 73 ford with the 5.0 or does it not really matter? the clutch sizes are the same even the input shaft diameter, the flywheel for a 73 is like 1/32in smaller than the one for my 89 f150 it has the same number of teeth

Most Fords use a 1 1\16 input, but some hd transes used a 1 1\8 input, as far as flywheel, an 11" is norm for trucks, but most important get the flywheel for your year and size of engine, it is important for proper flywheel\crank balance and a centerforce dual friction is the heaviest duty clutch you can get, for light to medium duty a Borg Warner brute force will do, also you might want a diaphram cover instead of a 3 finger cover, it will be easier to engage.

where can i get the brute power clutch set from?
and if it asks me what year my vehicle is, do i put my truck or the year for the trans or should they pretty much be the same?

Try a local parts store, the flywheel has to go with the engine, if its an 81 or up you will need a 50oz inb flywheel, next you will have to match the disk to the size of flywheel and spline, it may sound complicated but its not, the cover doesnt matter as long as you use a diaphragm. If you need any more assistance let me know I am working in my friends speed shop tomorrow and friday I can do a little looking.
