Lucas Oil Stabilizer question

Lucas Oil Stabilizer question
I question myself, but with the price of gas I just bought a 95 F150 with a 5.0 with 64500 miles. Runs good. Oil level was almost a quart low but showed signs of leaking down the side of the oil filter.
ANYONE RUNNING LUCAS NOW? A friend told me it would keep my engine cleaner. Comments? Can't hurt?

I don't see how it keeps it cleaner. I fun it, but that's just to keep oil pressure up after the engine heats-up in the summer. It's supposed to keep things lubed better and extend the life of a new(er) engine.

I use Synthetic Oil w/ Lucas Synthetic oil stabilizer in all my vehicles. 87 f150/ 94 Escort & especially the Harley. Harley actually recommends it's use. The use of "synthetic" oil will keep the engine cleaner than regular oil, among other positive attributes.

I'm running a similar setup to Ymeski, fully synthtic oil and lucas.
One thing to look out for, is that synthetic oil will find leaks faster than conventional oil. In mine, it showed it me that my valve cover was missing bolts.
And thus far it's shown me thay it does clean the old sludge up, had mine in for about 1,000 miles and gonna change it before 2,000 because of all the junk it's breaking loose/cleaning up in there.

I did some research on it, and really couldn't find anything conclusive. I suppose just running a solid synthetic is your best bet. My truck has almost 183k on it, and I was thinking about it, but decided against it.
