Default low fuel warning light

I see I have a low fuel warning light on my dash but I have never seen it come on. When does it come on and for which tank is it for?

Not a light, just an icon. If you ever remove your gauges you'll see there's no specific bulb or LED or anything there.
Wish we had lights...

Unless you're a 96 then you might...not sure if the ODBII's had low fuel lights

I think he was seeing the icon next to the gauge

I have a '92, just shooting in the dark about the newest of these trucks, thought I saw somewhere that they had them

Yeah mines a 96 5.0 auto, and the icon is just left of the fuel gauge. I was always scared i was going to run out of gas seeing if it would come on haha.

If it did, just switch tanks hahaha
I never thought I'd like dual tanks as much as I do...It's real nice

Someone somewhere was talking about wiring up some sort of low fuel light. I usually just dont let red show on the other side of the needle before switching tanks then filling up.
