Well it is quite embarrassing. I have the little white box under the dash pulled out as I am using it as my key since I lost the key. And the damn thing has two parts. It was a little loose. I was messing with it and thought I found a shorted wire but nope just the box itself. So I squeezed it, it shut and everything started working again! I'm a doofus, I'm aware. But I am still curious what that harness is. My horn and cruise hasn't worked since I got the truck but I tested the horn via the battery and it works. I bet that is what that harness is. Too bad I can't find the other end of it.

Horn and cruise not working means that your air bag clock spring is bad, simple fix and only about $50 from any auto store, maybe less online.

You know, I thought that could be it from other things I read. I'll need a steering wheel puller too right?

I got mine off without the puller, mainly because someone had stripped the pullers bolts so it in turn stripped the ones on my steering wheel. Thought I was screwed but just soaked it with PB Blaster for a day and she pulled off by hand.

Like truth said though almost all auto parts stores have them as loaner tools, put down deposit and get it back when you return it.
