Question Lockers?

Hey, I have a 93 F150 and am look to get lockers for traction. I know that lockers like ARB air lockers i can unlock when i don't need them, but they are expensive. Are detroit lockers any good or is it really that bad to drive with them locked at all times. Is it worth the extra price to be able to switch between locked and not. any help would be great. thanks

detroit lockers arent locked all the time. their automatic lockers. if it detects slippage, itll lock in. the only locker thats locked "full time" is a spool.

and why do you need more traction? are you REALLY doin that hxc wheeling?

I don't necessarily need that much traction, but the mud he does get pretty rough and i've had those times where i'll lose one one side spinning and have to be pulled out. I'm Not for sure getting them, just another thought that popped in my head one day and was curious.

Detroit lockers are a good locker. They just make some noise while you are turning.

if you dont do serious wheeling, go with nice limited slip. more expensive for the good stuff, but worth it.
