Default air injectors ( thermactor plugs)

does anyone know if the there is a size difference in the thermactor plugs after deleting the air injection system. I searched everywhere for a specific set for a 4.9 and it keeps bringing up 5.0 etc. so just wondering?? help a guy out. thank you

Just to plug the holes ? Take one of the pieces you unscrewed to a (real) auto parts store, they'll have the right size plugs you can use for that. Might ask their advice on a product to seal the threads with.

I used brass 1/4 npt allen plugs(if I remember right) but they didnt fit as well as I had hoped but I was already committed to using them(destroyed my other parts getting them out) so I used two in each hole and used some high temp thread locker. They tightened up well and havn't leaked but When i take the intake off again I plan on having the right plugs ordered from a machine shop.

Default thanks to all

800k6 is the correct belt for a/c, and smog pump bypass on a 1996 Eddie Bauer 4x4 f150 6 cylinder. just did it out of necessity to get the vehicle home, leaving it that way, for sure. truck runs better than it has in two years, just my case, not trying to argue against anyone else s opinion

FOR OFF-HIGHWAY USE ONLY: I have a '92 F150 4.9 w/AC & AT/4wd: The cats are gone and most of the emissions gear is MIA. There were NO hoses connected to the AIR pump and it turns roughly, so I'm removing it.

Does anyone know of a AIR Pump bypass pulley for the 4.9? My pump housing has this number cast into it: 606R-777056 CAV9 M. Clockwise rotation facing the front of the AIR pump. Please advise.

Thank you!

I don't believe an idler pulley assembly exists for the 4.9 like it does for the V8 engines. I just omitted it entirely. The wrap around the alternator pulley is just about a full 180-degree turn now, but it's worked fine for me. There may however be some subtle differences with the bracket on the '92+ 4.9. My truck is a '91.

my friends went out and locked up after a few days of a ticking noise, it popped his belt. Bypassing it is the fastest least expensive option.(polk county fl here).
