Just bought a 1995 Ford F150 4x4 5.0
Hey Guys
I recently sold my 99 ford ranger and since it was such a reliable truck I decided i would have to go with another ford and since i like the 96 and below look I found a 1995 Ford f150 XL 4x4 std with the 5.0 V8 and heres the best part only 134 000kms or 75 000 miles for only $2200. Do you guys think that was a good deal? It has some minor rust but nothing serious.
Now I am going for a mud truck look but it will still be my daily driver so I dont want to go too crazy. I've been told the 5.0's in these trucks came very restricted from factory and that if you put a mustang intake with the k&n air flow system and a cat back exhaust that it will make a world of difference.
Let me know what you guys have done to your trucks, any common failures like a weak tranny etc with these trucks, or whatever you want to tell me about your own trucks.

the truck 5.0 is a good motor, only problem is the internals arnt forged so they cannot take as much abuse as the mustang 5.0. i would reccomend the eddelbrock truck intake over the car intake because of the awesome torque it makes. the mustang intake is for high rpm hp. put on the dual bbk 61 throttle body, big mass air, headers, no cats, high flow mufflers. the 95 truck motor has a roller cam already, so mabey a torque cam would work nice. after that you should have enough power to sling some mud. the trans and rear end is very strong in these trucks. any questions just ask me.

I have a 1995 f150 302 5.0 with the e40d transmission speed density. that was originally stock with a 5.8 351w engine, I am having trouble finding the correct ecm for the new 302 and e40d setup can someone please help me out here? Also it's stock cam not roller rockers or e303 or HO, thanks
