First post here guys, got a 95 f150 xl, auto trans, 6cyl. had a rebuilt jasper trans put in about two months ago because the trans would slip in 3rd gear...suddenly pop into neutral and then engage. Funny thing is it didn't do it all the time. Anyway, I'm having the same issue with the jasper rebuilt, but only sometimes. Tranny slips out of gear at highway speed for a few seconds then comes back in, then i stop the truck, shut it off, and it runs great. What the ##!@# is going on. I've been reading something peculiar to f150' called a "rooster comb"...maybe that is causing hte problem???

Any advice appreciated.

could be a problem with your computer or your MLPS might not be lined up or something, try scanning codes
