Default Intermittent/flashing CEL - 1995 F150 XLT 4x4

Hi all,
I have a weird intermittent CEL on my F150 and I'm trying to figure out how to catch it?
Basically, The truck run perfectly fine until I drive for more than 1 hour. I specially noticed it on highways.
After about 1 hour the CEL lights up and lasts for maybe a minute then goes away again and will come back for a little and so on.
The symptoms are the truck starts shifting funny. When climbing a hill on the freeway it wont shift down, or when accelerating it wont shift up.
What I do to force shift it is I punch the gas to the floor until I get the shift I want.

It's been doing this since I have the truck. Last year I replaced the tranny and it still does it. This leads to me think it's not tranny but maybe something electrical.

Is there anyway I can read the ECU while driving? Or have any of you experienced this before?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

A scan tool, or the paper clip method, may read codes even if the light isn't on. A flashing mil means misfire.

It would continually flash for a misfire-as long as it's detecting it, but yes pull your codes and go from there.

Pull the codes, the computer is all set up to tell you where the problem is. Not pulling them and trying to guess is just silly.

Sorry all,
Had a quick appendix removal in between all this.

Alright so I pulled the codes:
The engine off test passed. I had code 212 in the continuous memory...

and then the engine on I got:
536 and 632. Something about the brake on/of circuit and the overdrive cancel switch.

I will say, in the little booklet it tells me if code 10 appears to push the accelerator the floor and release. I did that and code 10 still seem to be hanging there until code 536 showed up. Is this normal?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks all and sorry again
