Default installing 1990 4.9 in 1976 f100

ok, I got this wild idea that I wanted to create my ultimate farm truck. I purchased a 1976 f100 from a buddy who had started a project and then stopped. I then talked another buddy of mine out of a 1990 f150 with a 4.9 inline 6 and an automatic transmission with overdrive. I have the entire truck to pull parts from. while talking with a large bunch of mechanics, they all say all you have to do is get power to the computer, starter power and power to the fuel pump and you are good to go. I want to keep the inside of the cab stock looking and the outside of the truck stock looking, but I want that motor and trans due to me working on the farm/ pulling my boat to the lake. can anyone tell me, which wires I need to attach the 76 ignition wire to? that's it. I can get the starter wire ran and the fuel pump wired in, I need to know that one wire, or are they not telling me something, hoping I will bring it to them to finish up.
