do you want the one word answer or the detailed explanation? lol

but first off, i have to ask you, why are you doing this??
gas mpg will decrease, lose low end torque, increase emmisions, decrease value, and wont be as drivable...

youll need new intake and carbuerator, fuel system, ignition, brackets and linkage, and if you have the automatic transmission i believe you need the TV cable.

are you serious?!

for the time and $$ it would take you to convert EFI to carb, you could have a nasty setup on your truck. you can get a top quality, full lower and upper intake manifold for under $600. and some cheaper than that. i'd say keep the EFI. its pointless to swap new technology for old technology.

jw, what your is your truck?

Yeah, it can be done. 'Hard' depends on your definition of work.

Still see a lot of carbs being done on the high performance engines in the various motorhead shows on SpikeTV - but I consider those to be radical moves focused on sheer performance and not overall daily-driver operability, economy, and reliability.

To me, going from fuel injection to carb is like moving out of your house back into a cave. Suggest to use your energies to figure out what needs to or can be done to the fuel injection setup before bolting the equivalent of a toilet bowl on top of your motor.

yeah, i know ford had some bugs in the EFI in the first couple years, but by 96 they had all the bugs worked out. i'd say keep it unless your running STRICLY a drag truck...

Even our serious drag vehicles run fuel injection.. No its not a Ford fuel injection but Ford never intended for the car I am thinking of to put down 1400 hp.
