Default cruise control problem

my cruise control doesnt work at all . has not since ive owned the truck . well i opened the hood and noticed that there is a wire coming out of the fuse box under the hood that is red and black. also there is the same color wire coming out from firewall. im wondering if thats the cruise control wire. i dont want to even attempt to touch them wires becuz i dont wanna fry anything . i would really like for my cruise to work .

there is a RECALL for our trucks cruise control...take it to a dealer/mechanic and have them check the system to see if it qualifies for the RECALL. You should have a plug coming out of the tip of the brake booster(in front of the brake fluid holder)...if that is not plugged in, someone has removed it. DO NOT RECONNECT IT. We have a RECALL b/c of the spontaneous combustion that has burned down several several F150's.

funny how that works out...when a question arises, answers are given(in this case, props to the USPS system!)

The recall said to disconnect it til you can get it to the dealer for the fix...take it to them and they will fix it for free.
