Default ignition timing help?

I searched but nothing relevant. I have a 92 f150 with a straight six auto 2wd. I recently bought the truck and would like to check the timing. I know there is supposed to be a plug to remove to set the timing but the only thing I can find is a plug that has about a foot of wire and isn't connected to anything. Any ideas what this plug could be? It has two wires. Also what is the correct timing setting for this truck. Thanks in advance.

This is a spout connector:

This is what you remove to set the timing. Base timing should be 10* I believe.

OK so I tried to time it but didn't have any luck. I found the mark on the balancer, painted it and had a hard time seeing it last night. Maybe I will have better luck today? Any suggestions?

Use the brightest whit you can find, I use white out for paper mistakes, also make sure you have the right line, there are degree lines on some balancers, or go to your local speed shop, Mr Gasket might make a timing tape for the -6.

I found the problem. I was using the wrong timing marks. Don't know why there are 2 sets but I discovered that there was another set on the passenger side, covered in grease, wiped it clean and timed it. Thanks for the suggestions.
