ignition actuator rod
Does anyone know the part number for the damn ignition actuator rod? I know its a common problem and I found the post on here detailing how to fix it. My problem is the parts guy here is an idiot and has no idea what I'm talking about. I just want to order the part but cant seem to track down any part number for it. O.K. I'm done venting now, any help would be awesome.

Year, engine?
To be quite frank, I must be an idiot too. I have no idea what an 'ignition actuator rod' is.
EDIT: after a quick google search, I would now guess it's in the steering column..... Still can't help with a part number though...

i have seen guys just removed the whole ignition switch and cut a hole in the top of the steering column and weld something onto the broken rod, and then just push on the new welded on peice to start the truck,

Ford Part # E9TZ*3E715*B = $14.97 Fits 1980-1991 (the parts manager cautioned that you be careful, there is a 1mm roll pin that has to be reused)
Ford Part # F2DZ*3E723*A and FODZ*3E715*A = $12.00 & $9.28 Fits 1992-1996
The parts manager said he'd be more than happy to ship them directly to you, just need your zip code to estimate shipping.
PM for more infor or if your interested in buying the parts.
NOTE: I believe these are Dealer Only parts, not available through parts stores or 3rd parties.
