Default I think I lost gas milage.

I have ran 31x10x15s on the rear of my truck for quite sometime now and and ran alot smaller tires on the front. Well about 1 week ago I put a set of 31x10x15s on the front with a 2 inch lift and I think I lost gas milage. I dont see how but ever since I did it I see a drop in gas milage. I think it got about 12 and now i think its getting somewhere around 10-11mpg and I honestly feel a diffrece so thats why I'm asking if you all think I lost gas milage from the tires or something else. P.s. Is there anyway you all know of for getting laittle bit better gas milage like one of them tornado inserts you put in the air intake or something.....ANYTHING LIKE THAT lol

Your front is setting up higher, this will cause more wind resistance and a slight drop in mpg's.

I am really thinking about buying e3 spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new distributor, and new distributor bug. Along with a tornado air intake insert. DO think any of them things would help considering theres no telling how long them igntion opponents have been used for. They look real old and I can't believe it runs as good as it does.

A tune up is a good idea. So is changing the fluids, if you haven't already. Synthetic oil will also help add some life to the engine. The tornado insert is probably a waste of money. A K&N intake, or other similar brand would probably be better. It will cost more tho.

im thinking about saying screw the tornado thing and get a throttle body spacer. They sale alot of them on ebay. Are the brands they sale on there anygood. I dont want to spend more than 100 dollars on one if you all htink its worth it. Does anyone have prior experience with these things. How hard are they to install and what exactly did it do to the ole 300..does it wake up and horsepower. Thanks....

You put more rolling resistance on the ground. That will make for worse fuel mileage.

I think you will find that many of the members here do not recommend the throttle body spacers. Some suggest they are a waste of money and don't really give you the extra performance you might expect. Some of the other members have more experience with them, let them find this thread and comment on it.

I woudl do like dewman suggested, and save the 100 bucks and skip getting the spacer. I would spend that extra 100 bucks on getting some nice wires and plugs, and start changing the fluids.

tornados, no bueno.
throttle body spacers dont work. all they do is make an annoying whistle. lol.
youll feel the difference in a tune up.
and NGM already stated why there is less MPGs.
