What size tires do you have and did you regear? Different exhaust? "Inexpensive" is very general and can mean different things to different people. You could do a lot with junk yard parts and it would still be "inexpensve" assuming you had the knowledge to do what you wanted. What do you want out of the truck?

A cheap upgrade is a take off bed. Many utility companys have a stock pile of these due to back in the day they ordered trucks with beds on them and took them off to put Knapheide truck box on them.

Cheap performance, apearance, creature comforts,
What do you want it to do,
If you want cheap off road perfomance, a fozzy locker and make some tucked in bumpers,
If you want a cheap creature comfort mod, get some dynamat, brown bread, or under coating and do the insides of the doors, your radio will sound better, and a little less road noise.
Just cheap performance stuff, crank up the timing, and find a junkyard electric fan.
Just cheap fun, is there a dragstrip handy, go bracket racing, find a legal place to go four wheeling and make some jeeps look silly.
Go down to pizza hut after dark , get a picture and join our photo rally.
