Default I need an instrument cluster

Here is the deal. About two weeks ago I I posted a question about my odometer and speedometer not working. I took it to the certified transmittion shop to have them fix it and they tell me I need an instrument cluster. $150 for them to find and replace, or whatever I can find a used one for me to replace. WHERE is a good online place to find used parts?? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Our local Junk yards dont have one. Thanks

There's a circuit board on the backside of the cluster that is predisposed to pop a solder joint. It can many times be located visually as a close to dry solder connection (insufficient amount of solder). If you locate it & touch a soldering iron to it, you're back in business. Assuming your referring to a digital read odometer. You didn't give yr/ type! Not alway's the case, but very frequent.

I pulled & purchased a full cluster for my truck for $20. at a
"pick your part" yard, when I decided I wanted one w/ a Tach!

You can use '92-'96, automatic or stick, tach or no tach. If your's doesn't have a tach and you put one in that has one then BAM! you have a tach no extra work needed.
