Default HP difference between 93 and 94 5.0???

I was looking a spec sheet on the hp on the 93 302 and noticed something quite interesting. Years 92-93 185 Hp. Years 94-96 205 Hp. Does anyone know why there is a 20 hp difference in one year??? I thought generally all the 9th generation f150's with the 302 had basically the same Hp.

Isn't this the year break between the speed density and maf engines. The older fuel injection was a batch fire while the newer is sequential.

Speed density uses a MAP sensor to read engine vacuum and make adjustments from that. MAF reads actual air flow into the engine and makes adjustments from that. Yes, in '94 the 5.0 switched to MAF.
