How to take off hub and rotor on 1990 f150
Hi,
I have a problem I hope someone can help me out with.
It is removing a hub.
I have a 1990 F-150 4x4.
I believe I have Automatic Locking Hubs, (not completly sure though)!
I was driving on a road going 60 km/h and my wheel fell off; out of the blue.
I need to now take off the hub and rotor to put on a new rotor.
I can not figure out how to take off the hub completely off.
I have removed the caliper, and the hub body and the outer locknut, the lock washer, and the inner locknut.
Is there any washers or bearings or something that i am forgetting?
Do I just Hammer it out? because hammering hasn't worked for me yet and I have hit it about as hard as I can.

According to my Chilton Manual; Starting from the outside in, there is a:
Locknut-lockwasher-locknut-thrust washer.
I also wanna say from experience that once you get all that off, there is a C-clip on the stub axle way in the back. After that the whole assembly should come off.

Springer Spaniels Rule
Hub and rotor are separate, the rear bearing might be stuck on the spindle, you might need a puller for the hub. You might be able to take a torch, heat the rotor and try to tap it off.

i got what I think is the thrust washer which was attached to the cone and roller(bearing) out. so now i have a cup? or a c clip? that needs to be taken out?

The rear seal would be the only thing holding it on, try to get 2 pry bars and try to evenly try to pry it off.

The rear seal should be attached to the back of the assembly when it all comes off. It shouldn't hold anything up. That is if you get the C-clip out, that is all the way in the back.

i did it!! i got if off!
now i just need to figure out how to put the new one on.
it seems that the grease seal is sliding back (off of the inner bearing) and the rotor doesnt stay on.
does anyone know how to get the rotor to stay on? with the grease seal in place of course.
