My truck code was 332 and 542. The 332 is the egr...can it be cleaned or it has to be replaced? The 542 is my fuel pump?? They both work. This was done KOEO.

You'll want to check the EGR system, vacuum and such. My truck gets one of those weird fuel pump codes, doesn't bother the truck so haven't dug into it.

Did you even bother to read the instructions on how to retrieve the codes? I even put up pictures.

Haven't read all 16 pages of this topic, but I read enough to get both my '94 and my '95 tested. Sorry if this has been posted already, but just thought I'd throw out there that on the 5L - 4EOD Transmission, if you get codes 536 and/or 632, shut the truck off, restart and as soon as the light flashes 4 times to indicate an 8 cylinder engine, tap the brake pedal, switch the overdrive button off and then back on and wait for the CE Light to flash one time and goose the engine and wait. Your 536 - Brake switch code and your 632 - transmission overdrive switch code should be gone if they are both working. My end results for both trucks, KOEO and KEOR were 111 = all systems passed!

You guys rock with this web site!

Awesome info guys. Just did the test on my 96 and other than the "522" code (vehicle not in park/neutral - I'm asssuming because either my ebrake light is burned out or the switch doesn't work) it was all good. "111" =
Now that I have that clear, I can go bolt up my new exhaust system, O2s, mess with the timing, and if I have enough time - install my electric fans.
