Default How to check alignment bushings in upper ball joints

How do i check alignment bushings in upper ball joints are zero degree?
do i need any special tools???

You will need a jack and a crow bar.

Jack front end up put stands under both sides, then use a bar to see if you get upward movement. If you do get movement the ball joints are bad.

Yea, Ive done that before to check for bad ball joints but im in the process of lifting my truck and i need to know how to check the degree to make sure its 0 , if my ball joints are tight than is it at 0?? i dont know? ive heard that there are differnt sized bushing you may need to replace with to get the correct alignment...anyone know anything about this????

Checking castor or camber by eye is all guess work. Special tools are required. Toe in can be done with some accuracy with a tape measure. Would definately recommend an alignment shop.

Yup, alignment needs to be checked at the alignment shop.

I've never looked at the alignment bushings, but I think I can visualize them. I figure zero degree bushings have the hole in the exact middle, while offset bushings are off center so if you rotate them it changes the position of the knuckle.
